Save Werrington Fields

The community in Werrington has come together to protect its public open green space. The ‘Four Cs Academy Trust’ and Peterborough City Council want to fence it off.

The Academy say they need a fence for safeguarding. First they asked for 2.5 football pitches of space. Then it jumped to four. Now it’s EIGHT. This increase has never been justified and the Academy hasn’t explained why they need such a huge area. The fence will rip through the space with an ugly, imposing fence, devastating the beautiful character of the area.

We’re asking the Academy to compromise and share the space.

So far, they haven’t listened.
